Philadelphia Saturday Courier 3 January 1835 Marriages

Sometimes, transcribing from old newspapers can be a challenge.  Take, for instance, the transcription of today.

Note that there is one marriage with no date listed.  So it was recent, but when?  Perhaps that family researcher can tell one!

Also, there are three marriages that I am not sure how to decipher the dates.  I can assume since this is a Saturday paper, that the notation of "Wednesday evening" could be the Wednesday of that week.  However, Wednesday of that week was in a previous month and year.  Which way to go here since many of the marriages listed do detail it was the previous month.

To add to the fun, I think a couple of the marriages listed were for widows as their fathers have a different last name.  That is just a guess on my part.

Ahh, genealogy. Looking at the dates and wondering.  Leaving to the family to figure it out sounds like a perfect cup of tea for me!
